We're trying to replace my wife's old purse holster.

It was black leather, two compartments, with a sealed compartment between to drop the pistol into, and velcro at the end for access. About mid sized. Any pics to similar models appreciated. Most people doing searches at doors never saw the snub in the middle.

Ive always thought the holster purses were pretty ugly. Why not take a comercial one to a repair shop or shoe repair store for a custom job?

The one she has is waay too small.

the holster purse she had was very attractive and discreet. I doubt anyone who doesn't make purses could do as well.

Galco are pricey but good. $50 will get a decent one, however.

Not spending more than the Taurus 817 on the purse for it:)

I suggest that she FIND A WAY to carry it ON her, not in any purse.

Failing to employ the former, only then accept the latter.

Thanks, but that is not the question I asked.

True, but you were asking the wrong question.

    Good luck, she'll need it.

The gun and method that works for her is best.

Attempting to force a different choice on her will not.

Given her build, carrying on her person is not generally practical. She also prefers revolvers to autos.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.

That was one I found and I think that might be where we got her last one. We'll have a look over the site. Thanks.
