I have had the 1911 bug again for quite a while. I haven't had much luck with reliability when it comes to 1911's but, I love that way they shoot. They're like that really cool ex-girlfriend that I couldn't trust when dating her but now that we're broken up, I can't keep from calling her up for a booty call. I went into my local gun store today and they had two used Springer WWII's for sale. One was in the plastic box with those U.S. wood grips that I'm not too crazy about and the other was in the cardboard box with a set of much nicer diamond checkard wood grips. The one with the cardboard box was the one I put on layaway. Dee (the owner) said he recently sold it to a guy that never fired it and brought it back for a trade in for a Kimber. Anyhow, it is used but unfired and I'm getting it for 425.00 OTD. I feel pretty good about the deal. I have 900 pieces of .45 brass here at the house and wanted a 1911 to shoot reloads out of. I had thought about a Loaded but I figure that a good G.I. will be just as good for what it represents and the price for a WWII is very attractive for what I plan on using the pistol for.

Flip.

You'll love it. It ain't the prom queen but the thing will shoot and keep on shooting. Drop it in the mud, pick it up and shoot it. It's a combat piece and designed to work under any conditions. :)
