Just doing some early research but a close-to-authentic Krinkov clone is probably going to be my next SBR.

I understand that the trunnion is solid and can be drilled without unriviting it from the receiver. Does anyone have exact drawings of what needs to be drilled?

I understand that that some early imported PAPs have a serial number at the back of the receiver that is not impacted by the drilling but is covered by the stock hinge. I assume that this is no more of an issue than it is with aftermarket revolver grips (and some factory S&W grips), millions of break open shotguns with the serial number on the water table, etc. However, it appears that the serial number has been moved to the front of the receiver in recent months and I would try to get one of those guns to avoid the question.

922r is a big open question for Title II with letters saying it is OK for intact guns not made from parts but some disagreeing. Let's say for the sake of argument, I wanted to follow 922r whether it applies or not. What needs to be changed on the M92 PAP?

As I understand, but do not quote me, the serial numbers are coming on the side with the newer made ones. Mine has it on the side. I would say I would most certainly NOT cover the serial number of a SBR. Everytime you go to the range a range officer is going to want to check the serial number against your paperwork, what if you get pulled over and it's discovered. A cops not going to want to wait while you dissasemble pieces to expose the serial number. But again, I think that is mostly an old problem.

I put a US made pistol grip, a Magpul or Tapco US made magazine the trigger components were already Tapco's, a US muzzle break (dont recall if that plays a factor in 922) and it met the requirements..

But you are correct, you will get 1000 arguments about how SBR's don't need to meet 922R...better to be safe at the cost of $12-15 in my opinion.

Where on earth do you live?

This has never ever ever happened to be even with full auto let alone an SBR. Not at C2 Tactical last Friday, not at Shooter's World, not at Rio Salado Sportsman's club. At this point I don't expect it to ever happen.

PS. The other pretty authentic-looking option is putting an AKS-74U style triangle left side folder on it. A lot less work. That, a $29 trigger group, and an American Made version of the Bulgarian 4-peice muzzle booster (which is a super effective flash hider as well). Would get me to down to 11 922r parts, only one to go.
