I'm thinking of getting one of the howdah guns from dixie gun works. Does anyone make those blackpowder substitute pellets in 20 bore? If not, what would happen if I used the .54 caliber pellets in it since it's (I believe) 61 caliber? Would this cause problems or be unsafe? Lastly, is there a shotgun primer adapter made for it? I'm trying to get the most reliable ignition system I can as this will be one of my home defense guns.

Below is the product page for the Mag Spark 209 primer adaptors but I think that its risky to load using under size pellets and don't recommend doing it.
There may be a way to fill in the gaps around the pellet by using loose powder but that would defeat the purpose of using the pellets in the first place.
Folks use speed loaders for rapid reloading that are basically pre-measured containers of loose powder and the other components of the load.
