Store # 258 Tupelo, MS at Barnes Crossing. I'll assume the other store's doing it, too, but YMMV.:) Blackpowder season was two weeks ago, I think.

A couple of years ago, the state of MS labeled single shot .45-70's as "primitive". Sales of Rossi HandiRifles shot through the roof and lots of guys have quit using blackpowder and bows because of it. They only used them so they could squeeze in a few more kills, anyway.

A couple of weeks ago, they had 777 FFg selling for $29.97 a lb and Pyrodex FFg equivalent for either $20 or $25 a lb; now Triple Seven is selling for $20 a lb and Pyrodex is $15 a lb.

One more week and the Pyrodex will sell for $10 a lb and the 777 will sell for $15 like last year and I'll load up on it. I kick myself for not being patient last year and buying it for $20 a lb and not buying them out at $15 a lb.

What sucks is, they look like they have last season's dust on them, so they probably stored them in the gun room after boxing them up from last year. Walmart does that with a lot of seasonal stuff. They keep storage containers behind most of the stores for their holiday overstock to save it for the next year.

All the Pyrodex and Hodgson pellets are on clearance for $20 a box where they were $29.97 a box. They only have 50/50 for long guns.

I'm waiting for the Winchester #11 Magnum caps to go a little cheaper, they're still $4.97 a tin, I got two of them for $3.97 last year. They were $6.97 two weeks ago.

I wonder if the 209 magnum primers would work to reload shotgun shells, if you load them with BP substitute? Especially since primers can be scarce.
