I've recently gotten into blackpowder guns and would like to understand the differences between the Pyrodex RS & P. I understand the "RS" is for rifles and the "P" is for revolvers. What would happen if I accidentally used the Pyrodex RS in a revolver, for instance?

I use Pyrodex RS (FFG) in my Ruger and Walker. Not as much pop as FFFG but not bad.
Check this out (I know it's about black powder but it applies to Pyrodex, too)
From an old Colt Industries pamphlet:
"FFG black powder is best for large and medium-size revolvers, and FFFG for the small pocket models, but any grade that is available will work reasonably well."
