2fg 777 might work "OK" in a revolver, as it is cut about as fine as 3fg Black. Pyro RS will be iffy and 2fg CleanShot is a "forget it". I tried the 2fg CleanShot 30gr pellets in my 1858 once.............. out of 6 shots, 3 of them didn't even make it to the target set at 10yds (although the wonderwads did ).
I'm gonna have to try the 2fg 777 next time I have the 1858 out - just to satisfy my curiousity now.
I prefer using pyrodec "P". No ignition problems since it is a straight line into the chamber from the nipple. I use blackpowder in my long guns, as I have had ignition problems on rainy hunts. jmho
