I may have a shot at a mint Python 4" blued, 1966 vintage with original box. Its been fired very little. anyone here know what something like this is fetching these days?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Um, no.$1200 - 1500. Check gunauction and gunbroker for current listings.
Those were the days. I bought my Smith & Wesson Model 66 brand new in 1983 for $258.As others have stated they are going for some amazing prices today. Shooter grade Pythons are in the $1000 area. The better the condition the higher the price. I have seen some with a 2 1/2" barrel go for as high as $4000. Of course the more ornate guns will be well over that. I got my first Python, a 6" Royal Blue model, in 1979 for $385 new. With a Bianchi 5BH holster and a box of Remington 38 Special +P ammo all total was about $425. In 2007 I obtained a shooter grade 4" Royal Blue Python for $800 OTD used at a local gun shop.
I wish I still had mine it was a 4 inch nickel Python I bought for $400 new back in 1979.
Those were the days.
I plan on getting one when they are released. When the new Pietta 1955 P comes out, the value of original Pythons will plummet drastically.
KIDDING!
