What kind of experience have you had with Repairs, Replacements, Parts availability from
Uberti?
Cabellas?
Dixie?
Navy Arms?
Cimarron?

Overall quality of:
ASM
Uberti
Pietta?????????

Did the information you got from the gun media/industry give you an accurate picture of what you were getting into with the percussion revolvers?

Based on experience, I only do business with two companies. Dixie Gun Works has been great for me. If I have a problem, they work to please me. Navy Arms has been a good supplier but, a little lacking in customer service. I am beginning to have good service from Taylor's and Co. Cabelas? Terrible, almost as bad as Gander Mountain. Uberti? Poor. Cimmaron? Horrible. They never have ANYTHING! I gave up on trying to do business with them. AFAIK, ASM or Armi San Marcos is out of business due to poor quality and dangerous and unsafe products. POJ. Uberti is pretty good. Money, parts and a little time can turn them into jewels. Pietta? Rough and soft steel. They just aren't built for the long run. You asked.

That's exactly what Im looking for. Thanks. I've able to direct order parts through Cimarron with 100 percent success so far. Other than that my experiences are just about like yours. Dixie telephone sales people are helpful and have complete access to product inventory and descriptions. The computer customer service might as well not be there. " We are sorry Sahib. We are not able to help you at this time."

I live close to DGW. I walk in and pick out a helpful sales lady. No, I won't tell you which one! LOL If I want to find a part Jamie is knowledgable and if he isn't busy, he helps me out. Hunter is cool to talk with. I still feel like a kid in a candystore everytime I walk in the store! I only wish they would move the decimal points! LOL

I'm glad I have never walked into Dixie Gun Works.

I might have to take out a 2nd Mortgage on my house if I did. :p

I've got an Uberti 1851 Navy from Taylor's via MidwayUSA. It had a loose barrel, the wedge could be pushed in and pulled out with no resistance.

I contacted Taylor's ad they asked me to send the revolver in. They got it on a Monday afternoon, and it was on the way back on Wednesday!

I highly recommend Taylor's

It seems that Uberti has a quality-problem lately, because one of the local BP dealers had the same problem with Ubertis.

To make sure you'll hove no hassles with repairs, get it from Taylor's.
