Quality holsters for Smith 69 + RMR recommendations?

A little background before my question:

I recently picked up a new Smith M69 and discovered that the barrel is either clocked or crooked. I've been monkeying around with picking aftermarket front and rear sights because I cannot see the factory sights in dim lighting...and I remembered that I have a new RMR06 that I sorta forgot about. I have a lot of experience with red dots on autos, so I'm gonna give it a try. I don't think the barrel "problem" will bother me with an RMR because I won't see how crooked the barrel is.

I know that Smith would fix the barrel, but I'm sorta tired of sending new Smiths back in for warranty work lately.

My goal is to be able to draw and fire five full-house (SAAMI spec) .44 Mag loads with little warning and hit an 8-inch plate in 4 seconds or less at 15 yards. Not sure that I will ever be able to, but it sounds like fun to start training for it. For me, an RMR will make this easier for accuracy and in most lighting conditions.

Today I ordered an Allchin plate for my M69 to mount the RMR. On to holsters...

What have others found to work? I see that Speed Bees makes a proper Kydex holster for my pistol and "most red dots" and I'll probably order one to be all set for camping season in five weeks. Over the long term I'd like to find a quality leather pancake that will accommodate the RMR and 2.75 inch barrel. Can anyone point me to a custom maker (leather or Kydex) that can deliver in eight weeks-ish for revolver holsters and reflex sights? My usual Kydex guy (JMCustomKydex) isn't listing anything for revolvers.

On that note, what do folks actually prefer for lounging around camp? Chest rigs? Shoulder? To be clear, I'm into "Overlanding", which is just a fancy term for "car-camping" with a 4WD. I spend a lot of time as far away from other campers as I can get on my own. Typical activities include sitting in my chair, tending the fire, cooking, chopping wood, drinking beer. You get the idea.

I'd appreciate hearing from others that have looked into this already.

Well, today I got a new toy in the mail from Garrett Holsters...Silent Thunder STX OWB.

I added three different types of belt loops/clips to play around with at Garrett's "1/2" cant angle. I'm really digging the leather loops. Easy to put on without messing with my belt.

This will be my camp gun this year. For the last few years, I've packed a Glock 40 around with a Holosun 508T and Streamlight TLR-9. It was a huge, heavy, awkward chunk of gear when sitting in the Jeep or a camp chair. Also, taking it off when laying in a roof top tent was darned awkward too.

With the new one, I just have to undo two snaps and pull it straight down. Done!

This is the first leather-lined Kydex holster I've had. Really quiet and slightly sticky retention. That sounds bad, but it feels good.

It's going to work for camping season. The package is comfy against my love handles and short enough that it's not going to fight with my Jeep seat or camp chair. I think it's going to come out of the holster really, really fast (compared to the G40 setup). I'll run a few 5-shot Bill Drills at the range tomorrow to find out.

Only took about four weeks to get it. Garrett will be getting a lot more of my dollars. My initial impression is...

Awesome!

A Simply Rugged Cuda holster can be ordered to do what you want. With three belt loops it can also be fitted to the Chesty Puller harness Rob developed for Alaska purposes. I have the Chesty Puller harness and three Cuda holsters I can attach to it .With Rob's adapter it will also take other style holsters like his Cattleman which I have two of for Rugers. The work is top notch, he will absolutely make you happy or money and shipping back . He is in fact one of the premier holster makers in the world, once you start drawing from his holsters in the field, you will be spoiled.

Thanks. I'll bet that one of the premier holster makes in the world has very long lead times though. How long did you wait for yours?
