These two PMs were sent to me by a lowballer with 0 posts:

"Why wont you ship?
most people dont even know what a hakim is.
So your odds of a ftf sale is slim.
selling to an out of state person is illegal and is called interstate trafficing unless your a dealer.
Modification of the weapon and MG13 mag is a federal offence which is what is required to make it work..
The weapon has been modified more than once so my offer is 200.00.
If you change your mind you can ship without the mag to a FFL dealer where i live after you recieve my money order."

"Because the weapon has been modified more than once I can offer 250 for the gun if you are willing to ship to a FFL dealer after you recieve your money."

Am I right in thinking this person is just a liar trying to scare me into selling at a stupid price to him?

I never offered to sell to anyone out of state.

I've seen lots of people converting MG13 mags for these, and as far as I know, the only mods that are illegal include shortening the barrel too far, silencers, and FA mods. There's no hi-cap mag ban in Oregon, so I'm 100% legal, right?

If my gun was now "illegal" like this guy says anyway, then why would he be so interested in buying it?

It's not illegal to modify the magazines. It's not illegal to modify the weapons unless you go into NFA territory. The guy wants to scam you out of your gun.

Seems misinformed, and trying to con you out of a rifle for much less than it's worth. Or he might just be outright lying, and trying to con you out of a rifle for much less than it's worth.

And clearly this guy has no clue how seriously folks in the PNW take their guns. Heck, I bet you could even get someone to do a FTF out in the Palouse...
