Question about EoTech and detachable rear sight

I'm going to exchange the detachable carry handle on my M4gery for a DPMS detachable rear sight, the one found here http://cmmginc.secure-mall.com/shop/index.php?shop=1&cart=49368&cat=5& for $89.95. If I mounted the EoTech directly to the flat top, and had the detachable rear sight on there too, would I still be able to use the EoTech without having to look through the rear sight? Does anyone have any pics that might help me out as well?

I believe you can look over the rear sight and still see your EOTech or if you look through your rear sight your EOTech will cowittness with your front sight. You should try this link for pictures and more info.

Get an ARMS #40 fold down rear and you won't have that problem.

I've got an A.R.M.S. #40 on my AR with an EOTech plus I have a LaRue mount for the EOTech on order.

I have the arms 40 on mine with the eotech attached directly to the rifle rails. I am thinking of investing in the LaRue mount to raise the optics slightly, and allow me to re-attach the eotech to the exact same spot each time.

if you use the larue mount, can you still cowitness?

I believe if you use the LaRue mount you can still cowittness but it will be in the bottom 1/3 of the EOTech not the middle like without the LaRue mount. Try this link -
