Point and Destroy?

Good points TxD11, and sorta on topic. The counterpoint is that if you or I level a pistol at somebody, we very likely are willing and able to pull the trigger...and probably have already made the decision to do just that. It would be a good idea to be legally justified in using deadly force, even in pointing the gun, or we could be charged with communucating a threat...assault...and reckless disregard.

So, I can't speak for anyone else, but if I pull the gun, I've already seen the red flag that calls for the action. If the man who initiated the sequence happens to stand down when he sees the gun, we both win. My point was that I want him to have every chance..right down to the last quarter-second...to recognize that he is about to be shot if he doesn't cease his actions. That was why I allowed "Bubba" to close the range between us beyond what the law refers to as "Striking Distance" and we both went home.

Cooper's #2 Muzzle = Destroy

Well said Mr. Tuner. I really appreciate your advice and perspective on this and other matters as well. I certainly think you handeled the situation well, and no one was hurt. I'm sure it made quite an impression on you.
I also acknowledge your nudge on topic drift and offer this final comment.
It seems to me that the trigger pull question is very much like the old auto
vs revolver question. The answer is to have a predetermined mind set, practice often, and use what you are most familar with. Thanks, guys.
