Ok I installed the 3.5 connector on my glock 17 .. After installing it i noticed that the slide seems to not be AS smooth when moving back and forward .. Is there a "break in" time for this part .. I have not shot it yet with the new connector .. I was also wondering if the trigger bar is supposed to stay under the “lip” on the connector (sorry if I am butchering the terminology).. It looks to me that the connector moves left to right as the trigger bar moves over and under the lip.. Is this the way it is supposed to be? For some reason it doesn’t look right to me .. I may be just going crazy .. Thanks for the help!

the connector does move a slight bit side to side with the factory finishes. if you polish the mating surfaces, that goes away dramaticly.

finishes really dont have a thing to do with it, yes its normal for both, alot of people say the 5lb connector has a better feel than the 3.5 (4.5 actually), and the connector's lip, does extend over the triggerbar.

I had the 3.5 put in my Glock 19, and the slide is as smooth as ever.
trigger pull is smooth as well, just lighter.
Then again, the guy who put it in is a Cert'd Glock tech and full time
cop who has a brunette for a wife and a Glock for a concubine, so
he knew what he was doing, no doubts.

Are you sure you reassembled everything correctly?;)

I've only done 6 or 7, but none of the connectors had lateral movement after I pushed them into the sear pack. The bar should remain on top of the back of the connector, as the angle of the conn. is what presents the pull weight.
