I know that there is a legal size for pocket knives... are these specific to each state or is there a one size that all states accept? If specific to state, does anyone know the allowed size for Iowa, or where I can get such info?

Thanks folks.

ps: I tried googling this info with no success.

The legal length for a knife blade can vary not only from state to state, but also within different cities. A particular state may set a blade limit at five inches, but a city within that state may restrict blade length even further. Concerning Iowa, I do not know the answer. I will repeat a piece of advise I once heard about weapons legislation. New York and California tend to set trends in not just fashion apparel, but also in weapons legislation. I hope this helps.

Thanks all. Mine is only 3 inches (1 inch wide) folding knife, so as long as I do not use it in a "misdemeanor" I should be ok. :D
