My cousin inherited an old KK top break single shotgun from his grandad. We were checking it out and noticed a round flip cover on the right side of the receiver. Under this cover is a hole about 1/4" in diameter. Does anyone know what the purpose of this hole is? Could it be for lube? It has a damascus barrel and he has no intention of shooting it but the hole has us puzzled. I have searched the net and can't find anything except the origins of the gun. No operational details. Any info will be greatly appreciated.
