I had to switch to Longshot and now trying my first loads of 5.0 and then 5.7. 5 rds of each. Wish me luck. I have to say the hs-6 metered better for me with the charge bar.

I've had years of experience with HS6 in 9mm, 38 spcl, and .40 cal., and it has served very well for my shooting needs with jacketed bullets.

My usual load, although I strongly recommend you always work up from a start charge, is 6.2 grs. with a 115 gr. JHP or FMJ @ and OAL of 1.110" according to my log book. The data I used was for Sierra FMJ's & JHP's and shows a table 5.5 grs. - 7.0 grs.. But as I said, working up is elemental in avoiding a high pressure situation, and this couldn't be more important than in a high pressure cartridge such as 9mm.

Seating depth has a significant effect on pressures, so make sure you do your work up at a constant OAL, or the one you have determined to be functional in your firearm. So if you should change the OAL and or bullet brand / type, always re-work your powder charge accordingly, specifically from a place on the table near, or at the published start charge. Follow these simple guidelines and it will be smooth sailing.

Good advice. The rounds worked fine. The 5.0 was really soft and the 5.7 was what I was looking for. I do want my Hs-6 back as all the load data I had was the way I wanted it. I guess I hate change, lol.
Nothing wrong with long shot as accuracy was good and pressure was fine. No distortion of the primer and recoil was snappy but nice at the 5.7grns.
