First of all, thank you for time. I appreciate any and all input on this, as I'm looking at a stage 2 folding AICS stock for a .308 SA 700. I'm 99% sure it'll work, but want to be absolutely sure before I take the plunge on the stock and see if there are any alternatives. I searched and found some advice on BDL's but not the ADL.
Is this a straight up drop in installation or are there any extra parts required or parts/places that need to be dremeled or worked on to make the fit?
From what I gather, the AICS will eliminate all parts of the internal magazine and replace it with an external. Are there any parts that will be transferred over in the installation or is it really that simple?
Will the bedding only fit a certain type of barrel (heavy I'm assuming) or will any barrel work?
As for alternatives, my options are somewhat limited as I shoot lefty with a righthand bolt. It seems the AICS is ambidextrous and the folding stock would fit my frame. I will say I've tried the Choate stock and while solid it felt short where I needed length and a bulky feel that was uncomfortable to grip.
Thank you all again for your help and experience.
