No it's not normal. Gap on a new gun should be 0.002-0.006 and even all the way around.

The forcing cone probably wasn't trued.

Sounds like the forcing cone was cut off center. Only way to fix it is to re cut it and set the barrel back to get the proper barrel to cylinder gap. If it's new I would recommend sending back as a warranty problem.

It's definitely not lining up properly although that most likely won't spit lead if there's some side to side play when it's locked up. I would think if it was imported by Cimmaron or Taylors they would warranty it. Was it purchased through either of those or a local shop?

Return it and get either a new gun, or a refund - this revolver is no good and doesn't worth the efforts to repair it. I've had very positive experience with westernguns.fr in the past - purchased several revolvers from them, never a problem and they check the guns before sending them.

Watching the electric bill go up while I sit here and ratchet jaw is my job.
There are some good American workers that do care about quality but there's a lot more, especially union workers that don't care. I've seen enough of the latter to make me sick. Have eve worked with union workers that won't even check something. They just run it out the door and say stuff like if it's bad it will come back and yes we had a lot of returns.
