Someone mentioned in a thread earlier that the Beretta 92 Compact is back in production.
I don't really doubt them, but the Beretta website doesn't show it ... So can someone verify this or even better provide me pics to droo- sources online?

Please tell me it's true and be right ...

I haven't seen anything from Beretta, but I have been hearing about them.

On the Beretta forums there was a post saying some Academy Sports had them in stock as well, if you have one near you.

Nushif they are in production. Academy Sports sells them, and I've personally handled one within the last week.

There was a run of them recently imported from Italy. Not catalogued. Either contract over-runs or just using up older frames. You can find them on the usual auction sites.

Hey guys I BOUGHT one today at Academy $549. Nice looking pistol, handles very well and it'll be a nice complement to my 92FS. Get 'em while you can!!

I heard they were made for a PD somewhere and the deal fell through, so Beretta just sold them off. No confirmation on that story at all, just what I heard.
