How much it kicks has as much to do with stock design as it does the caliber. But, having said that, the .270 itself isn't regarded by too many as a hard kicker.
OTOH, a guy I worked with & I were at the range at the same time. He was shooting a Remington 721 in .270 & I was shooting a .30-06. He complained of recoil & I asked him if he minded if I shot it. He said no, go ahead. So I did. The result was that it felt more like I got hit in the shoulder with a blunt axe than a rifle stock. But that was the 721, not the 700 you're talking about.
But, if it does bother you, try the 6.5 X 55mm Swedish Mauser.
