I am going to pick one up from a friend who is giving it to me for REAL cheap. Is there anything I should look for that normally wears on glocks (Ya I know may be a stupid question). It is a incredible deal and I want to make sure it isn't too good to be true. Should I just field strip it and look it over. I have shot it about a year ago and it shot fine. And also, Does glock guarantee warranty for 2nd owners? Thanks!

P.S I have bought many guns, but I have bought most ALL my guns new.

You'll see normal wears around the outside of the barrel cylinder and some wear above the chamber box. Also there may be some "ping" marks on center bottom area of the slide rails. Nothing to worry about. With a Glock, it all shows character.

Does glock guarantee warranty for 2nd owners?

Yes.

Thanks for your help .. I will be taking pictures of it and posting later this evening if I get a chance to go get it today..

You're welcome. When you field strip the weapon, just make sure it looks clean especially around the breachface area; visually inspect the extractor housing, trigger bar system and magazine release button. Another good check, after field stripping and while the slide is pointed downward...push on the firing pin safety and this will allow the firing pin to drop through the breachface. Also, when you dry fire it...make sure the trigger pull is smooth.

I'm kinda anal-retentive with my Glock.
