Can be eye numbing.Anybody got a solution? they look very similar by eyes
smart!!!Can be eye numbing.
Assuming you mean sorting by hand.
If so, put a small or large (not both) in front of you that you can quickly glance to as you pick up and look at the others.
I was thinking about sizing then gauging with a drill bit go/noGoIf you size them on a single-stage press, come in behind that process and tap them all with a LP go-nogo gauge... that should ID the SP brass pretty handily without straining the old eyeballs too much.
what do those cost!!Automated vision or plunger based systems are pretty slick, and ridiculously fast.

A busted up Prius!Depends what kind of toys you already have in your garage.
S&B brass! the other curse! If you're doing LPP on a progressive, just run everything and curse when a primer won't seat. Take the offender out and throw it where ever you put them. Mine go in the scrap bucket along with the S&B which are almost as bad.
drive one and you will buy one!!!I’m sure there are automated ways to separate but how many are you dealing with and how often?
Anyway, try the manual method first—was used to successfully catch counterfeiters for decades—and gives another opportunity to spot defective cases.
All this is unless you like spending dough and my guess is not given the POS you drive. (You know I’m kidding)
Mark brass! a little nail polish, great ideaSome sort of gauge seems to be the simple solution - If you pick up a lot of range leavings - mark the brass you've already checked so that at least the first run through is the only long one.
the 650 sorts them pretty easily. stops the priming arm right now. but the small primer cases are still pretty rare in my area. think I might have a box of 50 after the last several years. So far blazer and federal NT are the only ones I've seen that are small primer. so I sort by headstamp whenever I get floor sweepings.
Buy one? Hah! They’ll soon be mandatory govt issue.drive one and you will buy one!!!
was thinking of a simple go/noGo 3D printer case gauge. Kidda like a case tray but with a pin that’s the size of a LPP. All cases that are up would be a SPP because they wouldn’t do down
