Thanks!
I'm going with the 357 and heavy cast bullets. As far as the chances of having to use it, I hope little to none, but I hope the same about two legged varmints and I see a lot of fellow sportsmen still carrying. Now for pepper spray, I'm seen it work and used it myself on men and women (31 yrs a PO), This was only 2% Oleoresin Capsicum. The stuff used on a bovine was the real stuff in the big can and labled bear spray (Kevin the bull's owner, had brought it back from Montana where he had hunted, they take a dim view on shooting a grizz without having large bleeding holes in your body first). Anyway the bull had an attitude. It was raising a little hell and throwing it's weight around when Kevin decided it needed a lesson in manners. Within 5 minutes he had the can in his hands and gave the irritated critter a full shot to the face. Like flippin a switch "irritated" was replaced with "irate" and the bull went nuts. If it wasn't for a tractor we sought shelter on we would have been hambuger. When the bull got tired of trying to climb onto the tractor with us it ran through an electric fence and into the side of a shed where it got caught in a roll of woven fence and broke a front leg. The beef wasn't the least bit peppery, but it was so tuff you could break a tooth on it!
