Not to mention his show on the History Channel where he shoots anything he can get his hands on. I don't know many former serviceman that go anti-gun.

He actually strikes me as the real deal. I get the feeling that he really is a what you see is what you get kind of guy.

"I have 30 handguns at home. Why do I need to wait 15 days to pick up my pistol?"

R. Lee Ermey, voicing my own sentiments... well... eventually my sentiments.

Gunnery Sgt. Ermy...

My kinda guy. I watch "Mail Call" evey chance I get. He does shoot some interesting stuff. One show, he shot an MP-40 and and the M3 "Grease Gun"

WOOO HOOOO!!!

I do. A lot of them believe that only the police and the military should be allowed to have guns. That stupid worthless civilians like us shouldn't be trusted and that it makes their job of "taking care of us" harder.

Met the Gunney,

he's the real deal, walked the walk, and now talks the talk. Like anybody who's seen evil ,he knows we the people must be armed to fight it, he also loves shooting most anything that goes boom.:D My kind of guy.

He will be at Vance's gun shop in Columbus, OH May 15 meeting the public and taking pics. I plan to go and see him. Maybe if I'm lucky he will let me "lean in and choke myself" for a funny photo op.

I still can't quite believe that Ermey is the spokesman for Glock. He always struck me as a 1911 guy.

Hey, if they wanted to pay me what they are probably paying him, I'd be a spokesmand for Glock, too.

Brad

The Gunny has been at the Glock booth at the NRA annual meetings and Shot show the last couple of years that I know of. He gave a speech for one of the gun collectors groups at the NRA show 2 years ago. He is hold your sides funny and is the REAL DEAL! He makes no bones about it that he is pro gun and on the right side of Attila the hun. Even though his Marine corps career was not a lifer he has a profound respect for the military and America. God Bless this guy...there are too few in the public eye like him.

Yeah, I bet the boys in the Springfield marketing department are kicking themselves.

If I recall correctly, different gun makers kept trying to get him to be their spokesman - he kept refusing and than finally gave in and told them to all send him a gun to try.

He shot them all and decided that Glock was the best, so he went Glock. ;p
