There are really three categories of .380s: the true pocket pistols (Seecamp, LCP, P3AT, P380, etc.); the "semi-pocket" Walthers and Bersas; and the holster guns like the Beretta 84/85/86 that are the same size as many compact 9mms. It would help to specify which type you're looking for.

Mine is a P3AT and it isn't pretty, not much fun to shoot targets with either but it's small and durable and goes bang when I pull the trigger. I carry it in a little pocket holster that mimics a wallet. It goes undetected and is perfect for my intended purpose.
If I had it to do over I'd probably get the seecamp only because the pocket pistol is so convenient it goes with me much of the time and had I known it would be the rule rather than the exception (that I thought when I purchased it) I would have went all out on one.

Agree with "Searcher451", that sounds very practical (and fun!). Hope you have a friend who knows about guns and owns several.

I have PK380, Sig P238 SAS and my better half has a Ruger LCP w/ laser.
- PK380 is too big for the purpose (it fits hands perfectly and shoots well)
- Sig is very well built (SAS model has no sharp edge), shoots very nicely, has thumb safety that I like, just a bit bigger than Ruger (It still fits in the same Uncle Mike's size 3). I love this one the most because I can both carry it and have fun at the range.
- Ruger LCP, little thing does have good features to be the "pocket" gun. I just don't like how it shoots (kicks more and DAO).
Anyway, my purpose is to have gun that I can conceal-carry and is a pleasure to shoot. Good luck finding one that fits your purpose. I found my Sig P238.

I carry a Kel-Tec P3-AT in the summer time--approx 8 oz.
Wife has a Sig -P-238.
I carry a Glock 26-9MM in the winter time
