Went to the range over the weekend to test these two guns out.

Beretta APX. This is an excellent gun. When I bought the gun it came with 3 mags and another grip frame in my choice of color, I chose FDE. Beretta is offering 5 free mags via a MiR. I shot ~200+ rounds of Tula steel case through the gun with zero malfunctions. The gun just kept shooting and shooting. I would rate the accuracy on par with a lot of other polymer striker guns. What I did like was that the gun was very comfortable to hold and the recoil was managed pretty well. All in all, the APX at its price point and all the features is a keeper.

CZ P10C. This gun I did not like at all. I shot two mags(30 rounds) and put it away. The gun did not malfunction, but it might have been the most uncomfortable gun I've ever shot. I should have brought a glove. I don't know what CZ was thinking with the grip stippling. I imagine holding a porcupine would be similar. The trigger, while it was pretty nice and short, it bit me quite a bit. I wanted to like the P10C, but I'll be selling it.

The one thing the P10C has over the APX is the takedown is a little easier, but since I don't take the gun apart all the time, it's a non factor.

I didn't like shooting my P-10C when I bought it -I bought a sanding block and after a few seconds of breaking the edges down it became perfectly manageable. I haven't had a chance to lay a hand on the APX yet, but I did just get my second P-10C.

Do you have a pic of your APX?

My P10 has a serrated trigger and the trigger safety protrudes slightly when the trigger is depressed, making it a little uncomfortable for me but not enough for me to change anything. One option is to file the trigger safety down so it's flush with the trigger when depressed. You want to make sure not to file it so much that it no longer works. I beleive there are also after market triggers for it. I don't mind the agressive texture on the grip, and for me it's accuracy and reliability offset the discomfort of the trigger.

There have been people getting trigger pinch - I did on my first P-10C, and it will be getting a treatment at Cajun Gun Works as soon as I can get it done. The White Nitride I just picked up has what LOOKS like the exact same trigger...and after 205 rounds, no pinch. Go figure.

Thanks for the review. Have been thinking about the CZ P10C but have yet to try one out. Like the look of your Beretta APX with the contrasting black finish with the FDE frame.

The P10C and me aren't a good match, but apparently there are a LOT of people that like the P10C.

When I bought the APX, they included an FDE grip frame. I took the black backstrap form the black frame and swapped them with the FDE frame.
