Talk me out of a CZ P10C

Back in December of 2019, my BIL bought a new CZ P10c and I bought a new Glock G19 Gen 5.

Took both to a gravel pit in Southern Idaho and shot a couple of boxes of ammo through each one, trading guns back and forth, and trying to give honest reviews of each.

Both pistols brand new out of the box.

Neither had any issues with function or sights not being on. The CZ was a bit bigger than the G19, but recoil felt the same for both. The G19 was more accurate for both of us, and both of us also found the grip texture of the CZ to be uncomfortably harsh. My BIL is a farmer, so not a sissy accountant with butter soft hands.

Both of us agreed the CZ had the best trigger, and we both agreed that both pistols were extremely close in all areas and one couldn't go wrong with either pistol.

If CZ made the P-07 in .40 S&W and optics ready...

The trigger is meh. If you're looking for a pistol in that size range, check out the very underappreciated Ruger American Compact. Best factory trigger I've ever felt on a striker fired gun.

I'm not a fan of the CZ 10 series. For three same reason I'm not a fan of Glocks.
Takedown is hard on my for cleaning due to arthritis in my hands. But they are both fine guns. Had a CZ P10F for a while, love how it shot. Might as well get it before Biden does

Not a P10 fan, don't like the grip texture, sights, or trigger. The Walther PDP is my favorite striker fired 9, much better than a P10 out of the box and the grip texture is fantastic. Even with the chunky slide, it fits in my 19 holster just fine and is comfy to carry. I'd buy a Canik over a P10, they're excellent pistols for the price and are just as good as others that cost twice as much.

Litterally just now i was dry firing P10 SC and i must correct myself, i thought it have a nice trigger, but actually... i would say my APX have much better one. There is a lot of empty push, than wall, which is lighter to overcome but also not so readable somehow "noncertain". While APX have just a little bit of take up, then solid wall, so solid you can rest there, then crisp break and very short reset.
It left me wondering if i was last time on such a diffrent place about triggers or its actually that concrete trigger what changed.

My department has been T&E a P10C for several months now. Close to 10k rounds without cleaning and they treat it like crap. Like they will literally through it across the range or slide it across the concrete.

Some of the guys in the detail don't like it because of the grip texture and one said he felt it got too hot after long strings of fire. All of them agree is shoots great and is a very reliable gun.

I signed it out for some familiarization shooting. The gun was obviously beat up and extremely dirty. Ran fine though. Even though it was extremely dirty, the trigger was on par with a well broken in Glock trigger, if not better. The sights were marred up badly but still plenty usable. The plastic Glock sights would have surely snapped off from the same treatment. I tried some slow fire shooting at 50 yards and put 5 round inside a 8 inch circle.

To say I was impressed is an understatement. My boss was so impressed he bought a P10F to replace his issued Glock 21. He shot the best qualification score he's done in over a decade after having the gun for a week. He's an okay shooter but the P10 was so easy to shoot well that his shooting has improved noticeably.

The only real downsides I've seen are the magazines are expensive and holsters are harder to find.

I had a P10C a while back. Seemed to be basically a Glock copy. Mine was the suppressor ready model and came with a threaded barrel and the higher sights.

Shot and worked fine without the can on the gun.

My only other complaint was the trigger. It wasnt a bad trigger, but it was kind of mushy, and didnt let off with a clean break.

I had the same model in Urban Grey a couple of years ago with the same results. I ended up selling it and recently replaced it with an H&K VP9

A shooting buddy owns the 10C and 10F. Nice pistols.

Assuming mags and holsters are easily found and reasonable I see no reason not to buy them if it’s what you like

Talk you out is not an easy job. Being a quiet CZ user since the 80's gave some insight of some product well done, not fancy, not popular but reliable as the 75-85 saga series.
I have to confess polymers won me as daily user very lately, carry a vise on your belt is not very practical at my age.
The CZ P10c has an alright price point, warranty service of not complains, more than acceptable accuracy, size an ergo that fit me right (mid to large hand frames here).
Sig's don't call me anymore, S&W neither, BHP and 1911 are things of the past (please don't flame me). Overall, the only similar contender is the VP9 but shelling 50% more coins than CZ.

I love my P10C's. I carried my FDE model for about a year, and finally picked up a holster a couple of weeks ago to accommodate the RDS on my OR model. They replaced my VP9 as my duty gun.

I got talked into buying one a few months ago by a slick talking salesman. That kid was good I tell you. Anyway, I liked the gun, except for the grip texture. Shooting it was like holding onto a wood rasp. Everything else about it I liked. I suppose I could have sanded the grips a bit, but I'm not the type to do that kind of thing. I had bought a Glock 19 Gen 5 about the same time. I had holsters and such for the Glock, so I didn't mind selling the CZ when another bright shiny thing caught my eye.

I just bought a CZ 75B this morning. Now this one I think I'm going to really like.

I have a CZ-P10C and sorry, but I'm not going to try to talk you out of it. That would be just plain stupid. It's a fine compact pistol and remarkably accurate for its short barrel. A great carry and self-defense firearm or just a range plinker, whatever your reason for owning one. If the grip texture is too aggressive for your taste that's no reason not to buy one because that's very easily remedied with a little sandpaper and some elbow grease.

I just bought on a month ago, well the P10F so far I'm loving this thing. Out of the box it shoots and points great, the price point is great and overall people seem to like them. Do it!

I found a deal on some parts to build something I've wanted for quite a while. My P10x GunFunds™ were allocated to the build. It was a crime of opportunity and I do not regret it.

But I have settled on a P10C and am putting one in the safe as soon as finances allow.
