Went to the range today to start breaking in my new Kahr CW9. For starters I fired 112 rounds of ammo.
12 Rounds Remington "Golden Saber" 124 gr. (+P).
50 Rounds Sellier & Bellot 115 gr. FMJ.
50 Rounds commercial reloads 115 gr. FMJ.
I was extremely well pleased with this firearm. There was not one failure of any type. I went through the 112 rounds and found them all pleasant to shoot. The Remington and Sellier & Bellot had about the same recoil. It seems the S&B is loaded warm as in +P. The commercial stuff was very mild. The CW9 digested every thing I used. I had no bad experiences with the magazine or bullets diving into the feed ramp. I shot 7+1, 7,and 5 round strings. Cleaned and lubed the piece when I returned home. After cleaning it did seem a mite smoother to operate and a tad easier to cycle, but not too much.
I have placed an order with Milt Sparks for their VM-2 Horsehide holster with a set of Kydek tuckable clips and a Milt Sparks 1 ½ inch belt. 10 to 16 week turn around time.
Now I need to ask what you all carry in your P9's and CW9's. I hear Gold Dots are very good. 124 gr. or 147 gr? What say about the Remingtons above?
