I shot my new-to-me Smith M657 .41 Magnum again yesterday.
It was just six shots. That's what it took for me to finish the Mini-Golf stage of the THR May Match.

The M657 is a eight and three eighths inch barreled version. It has fine single action trigger, the best I've used in a Smith. The shots that went off in odd directions were my own fault. The gun worked fine.

Loads were Remington factory 210 grain LSWCs. I got some of them in another .41 Magnum deal and will be disappointed when I use them all up. They've shot well in two Ruger Redhawks, a Smith M57 six-inch, and the M657.

My 12 year-old son added three guns to his list of guns fired yesterday. He shot my Ruger M77RL in .250 Savage, my J-15 (AR Clone) and the M657.
He liked them all, and thought the 657 felt about the same in recoil as my M28. The M657 turned out to be the 41st gun he's shot. I thought that was fitting.

We enjoyed the trip.
