Headed to gun club this morning & just got back a few moments ago, I'd taking along US GI ammo and Olympic ammo, also Wolf ammo.
I added a Reflex sight, also new Kac flip up rear sight, both needed final zero in.
To my pleasant suprise it was on target, I'd managed to have them bore sighted at home, so the process didnt take long at the range, since it was just about dead on target to start with.
I also have a bunch of US GI mags that I havent tried out yet, the first few mags, I had a few feeding problems, I sit them to the side and started loading the other mags, after the first few mags, the new upper worked flawlessly. I even tried a few new SA80 mags, they worked great.
I used US GI ammo mainly, to sight in both sights, than after 300+rds, I'd switched to Wolf ammo, just for plinking.
If I didnt know any better, the Wolf ammo shot tighter groups. Also the new upper seem to liked Wolf ammo, it cycled and function perfectly.
Here in this picture, the first few shots hit dead center, than I just started pulling the trigger as fast as I could, all shots stayed in a nice little group, I shot this group, just before packing up and heading home.
I still have a bunch of mags to try out, the two that giving me problems had black followers, so Im going to install the green followers to them here shortly & retry them during my next range vesit.
My bushy upper has the 1/9 twist, this new upper has the 1/7twist, 55gr and 62gr ammo seem to work pretty good in both.
