All these Mouse gun threads got me thinking. What do you have that's your "little" gun with "big" firepower. Lots of bang per ounce lets say. I know favorites are the Glock sub-compacts, 2-3" revos, and nifty new double-stacks like the Warthog and my personal fave, the CZ RAMI. Post what you have settled on, pics score you bonus points. ;)

Gee, I don't have a Rat. But now that you mention itl I want one. That CZ looks very interesting, would you tell us about it? Why is it your favorite?

Well of course I have a snubby or two but my "Rat" guns are really designed more for say New York City sewer rats :D

Big surprise they are SIGs :what: :neener: Bet nobody saw that coming.

As requested, more about the RAMI.

Why it's my favorite: So far it's been reliable, has 8+1 of 40 S&W (or 10+1 of 9mm), C&L or DA 1st shot options (I opt for C&L), shares mags and control positions with my CZ 85 Compact, and I can hit 5" plates at 25 yards pretty consistantly with it. 8 shots or less will almost always get me 6 plates down unless it's a particularly off day. Less than $500 OTD most places I've seen it. Same weight as a Ruger SP-101 but a little thinner in the middle.

My Dad as a Firestar M43 in good ol' 9mm. The stainless looks nice. He had a badly worn blue job that showed some pitting. I Gun-Koted it black for him. It's a good little gun and runs quite well eating everything we've thrown at it. UMC ammo is inaccurate as all get-out in it however. Loves my handloads. :)

A little heavy to carry, but that sure makes it easy to control.

My Taurus 605 in .357 mag. Definately rat power in a lil package.

hey i got a star firestar m-40

as well and i like it alike how you like yours? its a lot of firepower in a small accurate package ain't it? be safe peace out'

I once saw a rat in the cellar of a chicago tenement (a few blocks of 89th and state south) that was big enough to warrant keeping a bobcat as a house cat, I was pumping oil into a tank and i thought it was a kitty cat coming to see me, flicked on the old mag light and nearly wet myself. I pulled the nozzle and sprayed a couple gallons of No2 heating oil on it and all that did was make it mad. I think one of those new ruger alaskans would fit as a mouse gun against that beast.

I'm mostly a J frame guy for CCW. However, I'll throw my vote in on the Firestar. Have one ( M-45 in 45acp) that is compact, accurate and built like a brick. Weighs in a little heavy but that helps when you light it off :D
