Note for ya..

In the end, I went looking this morning and Wade's had a P230 SL with box, books, and a second magazine that they gave me a very nice deal on. The trigger and grip won me over. Given the overall shape of the weapon, I'd be surprised if it had more than 100 rounds through it.

It simply did the same thing that my M&P .40 and my S&W Model 19 did: felt "right" in my hands.

Congrats on a fine gun..

Make sure you keep an on-going round count and when you get to 200 rounds, try and open her up, completely, for a cleaning, as the powder residue gets thick after 230 rounds, enough for mine, that it was a guarantee, using JHP's, that from 230 on, one feed jam, and the worst kind, after the first shot, (stove pipes) and they are not easy to un-jam with all the pressure on the magazine.. You have to hold pressure on the bottom thumb release button, while pulling hard, to get the mag to drop just a little for the slide to cycle out the jam, and then re-insert the mag and get back on target..

With the blow-back action, it just gets dirty quick, and JHP's and the feed ramp, along with the mag followers get a big build up.. SO, if you keep her clean at or before the 230 round mark, she, least mine, will never jam.

Well oiled rails and guides
clean feed ramp and mag interior walls, spring, and follower..
Good, clean ammo, as I use only Federal or Winchester wb (all new ammo)

And be sure to read and follow the disassembly, reassembly, directions well, as the long, heavy, return spring has a larger front and a smaller rear, which the smaller rear part of the spring goes on first.. and the larger front end last.. KEY

Enjoy her,

Ls

Several of your choices will fit in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster and just disappear... if you like pants with deep pockets. Snubbies fit well into it and it resolves the printing issue even for my 2 inch .357.

The P230 is a great lil gun , I got one for my wife until her carpal tunnel forced a change . Me , I usually carry a S&W3913 concealed but this year I'm switching to open carry .

I use a Nick Mathews IWB for a full size 1911 with shirt untucked. Or just OC, great in the summer.

I wear jeans and a tucked in t-shirt year round and I use the tuckable IWB holster from highnoon and carry a small semi-auto. The only thing you see from the outside is the belt clip, so I switched to wearing a black belt, makes it less noticable.

Compliments on a good find and purchase with that P230.

Do you actually own all these weapons? Would be nice to have too many options!!!
My vote is for the snubbie. My 442 is the perfect carry weapon for me.

I live in WA also and when searching for a summer gun a few years ago I tried a Kahr P9 and hated the grip. I went with the K9 and could not be happier. It is my main summer carry and hides easily with shorts and an untucked t-shirt. When I want even less size, I slip my KT P32 into my shorts pocket with a couple of extra mags.
