What years was this particuliar gun produced? I remember sometime in the 70's this gun costing around 49.95. I think it was popular back then if I remember correctly why? I don't know as isn't this considered a cheapo gun and large for a .25 ACP?
What do they cost today?

Went to gun show last weekend and a seller was asking $125. It was of remarkably poor quality. Had these cheap yellow plastic grips, finish was worn off in places, visible casting marks - firing it would be risky.

George Jennings' Raven Arms produced the P-25 and later MP-25 from 1971 to 1991.
The Phoenix Arms clone MP-25 was produced from 1991 to 1993.
Why is/was it popular? They are inexpensive, quite reliable, and back in the day you could buy them at Walmart.
Two good online resources for Ravens are:
http://jtjersey.com/Raven/raven.htm and http://www.bryco-jennings-jimenezarms.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19

The clean Raven Arms MP-25 that I bought in 2009 cost me $60. They run $50-$100 these days in good to new condition.
Or buy a couple of "parts Ravens" for less off gunbroker and combine them. They are very simple to work on.

There was a shooting in SF, CA in 1983 on Van Ness Ave. a motorcycle cop Sgt. McCauly was killed by a guy with a Raven .25 ACP. He got the guy in a headlock and the guy just reached around and shot him dead.
