RCBS Trim Pro (Manual Case Trimmer) problems

Here's the issue, succinctly: When I use the trimmer, it will eventually start trimming shorter and shorter and I'll have to readjust it. I have no idea what's causing this. I've checked the head where the pilot goes, and it's not moving. Checked both adjustment rings. I know I'm missing something, but whatever it is seems to be eluding me.

Does anyone else have this trimmer and know what I'm talking about?

Did you tighten the little screws in the adjustment rings? Sounds like you haven't because they are moving.

I suspect either you have the old collet type like mine and you are not tightening it to the same tension every time or the set screw that sets the course adjustment is slipping on the shaft.

The coarse adjustment screw? I'll give that a re-tighten and see if that fixes it.

Check the screws that hold both top pieces to the base.
