Did anyone else see the little bit on Snapchat this morning about “anyone being able to become a 1000 yard sniper now” “just walk into a store and buy it” talking about tracking point.
It’s really frustrating that they run an article directed at young people convincing them that you can walk into a store and buy a device that makes you a master sniper. While that’s partially true they fail to mention that you could hire 10 hit men for the price of one.

I don't consider snap chat to be left wing media because I don't consider it to be media at all. It is a medium, that does not make it media.

For those who don't know, it is social-media app, similar to Facebook that is much more focused on pictures. It is very popular with middle school kids.

Well it’s the only media a lot of kids get. I don’t usually read the propaganda, but now and then something catches my eye. The articles aren’t much different than what I see on TV either.

It won’t link that I know, but here’s a screen shot of the article cover.

I have no idea what it is, but whatever it is, the army should invest in it. Imagine the $ and time that would be saved. I could have gotten my qualifications SO much easier than putting myself through the months of selection and training, the endless time in the classroom, the range, and in the field.

I doubt it’s as good as one of our snipers. Lots of rich people are using them for long range hunting though.

I too don't do snapchat. I always thought it was for soccer moms and little kids. That said, I don't see anything resembling a "left wing" agenda from either of the links you provided. More like right wing gun marketing.

I can’t link for the first story. It looks pro gun on the outside, once you open it it talks about how it’s too easy and it’s not a sport anymore and anyone can magically be a pro sniper.

The second link is simply the website for the products discussed, seems lots of folks haven’t heard of “tracking point”. It’s not new, but looks like the price is coming down a lot from 5 years ago when I first saw one.

As for snap chat. A bunch of my friends quit Facebook when they outlawed gun traders. So we send pics of the kids and stuff on snap. It’s alot more private. Like Facebook but only with the people you like.

Yup my point exactly. While we’re on here and at the range calling BS. The NRA is mailing every bubba for a donation. The left wing anti gun crowd targets your wife and children. And we wonder why we are loosing this battle.

I cannot imagine being a pundant for any specific perspective and waking up every morning knowing that I lie for a living (all perspectives embellish the truth). Like everything humans believe in life, the truth is always somewhere in the middle; no one can be absolutely right and no perspective is absolutely correct. I also think that paid pundants say what they are paid to say and not necessarily what they believe - they are simply earning a living. The biggest sin in life is lying to yourself. Good shooting.

Yeah and you can buy a mass murder machine in the classified section of any newspaper and there are constantly ads for them in print as well as radio and TV. Some even offer 0 down, 0 payments for 12 months, not to mention you can rent them from a variety of places including Home Depot.

If your tired of it, just quit reading it...

Bubba huh? You mean like a good number of the members here? Losing? We are not losing anything. We have actually gained more ground in recent years than lost. What costs us more than anything is the internal strife and infighting we as gun owners do to each other. Old school hunters that are completely ok with giving away the tactical crowd because, hey they ain't after my Remchester! Or the tactical crowd condemning hunters as Fudds. Or people thinking all NRA members are bubbas... We are our own worst enemy.

Whining about Snapchat being left leaning is like like yelling at the wind from blowing. It is doing exactly what it was meant to do from day one. Provide today's youth with an out let for all their angst. And no, I am not some old Fudd. I'm not even 40 yet.

What? The anti's in the media who lie and stretch the truth? Yea, they really irk my butt.

Join the NRA, get active locally, contribute to pro gun politicians, etc, etc.........

Im not even 40, I could fire back at that one but I won’t for now.
Well, they have been doing the entire time you have been active in the shooting sports, so you should be very familiar with their tactics. Surprisingly though, many gun owners don't pay attention (Like me until I was about 25). Have you? I have no idea, but if this is a wake up call for anyone here, good, we need all the help we can get. :)

I know and I appreciate the NRA and other conservative and pro gun organizations and their fights in Washington to secure our rights. But we need to take a lesson from liberals, and sleazy folks in general (have u seen the smut on social media?)
Go for the youth and young people! Washington is a temporary win, win the hearts of the young and you win long term and without lawyers.
I like that we have won the last few years in Washington, but we have had the house senate and president and we’re still barely winning. Only because of the demands of the republican base do we even have those small wins. I assure you the left has won a lot bigger the last few years in the 12-30 age range. They are winning people who can’t vote yet and in a few years we will wish we had fought that battle.

Listen in on a group of women talk in rural Texas and it will scare the devil out of you.

Sitting back and letting the big interest groups work for your rights doesn’t work. Talk to some farmers and see where that got them. We fight that daily since most of the public believes were trying to kill them so Monsanto can get rich (in case you didn’t know the NRA has a similar “reputation” among Non firearm people)

Don’t keep to yourself. Straighten up those around you. We need to find a way to take over some social media. The next generation depends on it.

Interesting application of fighter aircraft fire controls. I imagine the expensive "accessory" is constantly recalculating the bullet's path based on how the rifle is oriented, distance to target, barometric pressure, etc..

The target is identified with a half-trigger pull. When the solution corresponds to the designated target, the shooter is notified.

But, seems like a lot of skill is still needed (body stability, breath and trigger control, etc.) unless it finishes the trigger pull itself.

You pull it and it goes off when aligned right. Lock it on target and then it goes off when you have it pointed right and trigger pulled.

The product is legit, it’s the omissions of the article I have a beef with. They make it sound like anyone can buy one. When reality is it’s so expensive that it has a very small market with huge barriers to entry.
