Is there an aftermarket rear site for the Blackhawk. The blade broke as I was trying to adjust (pushing it further to the left). I can order standard from Numrich, but would like one with a little more movement. After sending the gun back to Ruger twice to have the front sight replaced, now it seems straight, but even with the rear sight adjusted all the way to the left as far as possible, the gun still shoots slightly to the right. If I could move the rear site just a tad more top the left I could have center accuracy. I may have to do something custom to solve my problem. Any thoughts??

Bowen makes a great after market sight in either target or rough country configuration. You have your choice of rear sight blades--plain, outlined, etc...

Here is the link to the Rough Country sight.

Also, there is a company making a replacement blade that creates a ghost ring rear sight picture. I tried it and didn't like it, but you may. They can be found here.

Good luck,

Ruger would probably send you one at no charge if you call their service department. The Bowen sights are great, I had one on a Single-Six and really liked it but they don't come cheap.

The picture doesn't show it well, but I replaced the factory rear sight on this Bis-hawk with Millet. www.millettsights.com

The Millet is an all steel, drop in unit, with more range of adjustment both ways.

Good Luck...

Joe, are you positive you have more adjust movement?? That is what I need.
I can't go far enough to the left with the factory sight to get the gun to shoot where I aim.

Yes. But if your factory sights are running out of adjustment, you may want to consider having Ruger turn your barrel.

Does the gun shoot the same for other folks?
