So why can I not adjust the rear sight notch on my older Redhawk to the left without breaking the sight notch? My shots are left and I need to drift the sight left to adjust them over. However the sight only adjusts to the right and then to the center... I thought these were fully adjustable sights? I need another three inches of movement in my group.
Thanks guys.

If you're shooting left, you move your rear sight to the RIGHT to bring impacts to the right.

Yep, you had the sight blade bottomed out to the left.

Now if you were adjusting a front sight, then yes, you would adjust left to compensate to the right.

Don't feel bad, I've seen quite a few folks do the same thing.

Remember you always move the rear sight in the direction you want the projectile to go. If you need to move the group to the right move the rear sight blade to the right. To move the projectile to the left move the rear sight blade to the left.
