Hi Guys,

I have an early generation Walther P99 and am looking for laser options for it. Nothing seems to fit the original rails and the mythical adapters are no where to be found.

The only option I seem to have is to install a Laserlyte rear mounted laser sight. Laserlyte, of course, does not make a sight for a Walther P99 so I will have to modify one. In order to do this I need to know which version of existing Laserlyte rear sight has dimensions that can be modified to work on a P99. Can a laserlyte made for a Glock be modified? I don't know.

There are several guns that the Laserlyte is made for. Most of these guns should have a trapezoidal cut to hold the rear sight and if it is big enough I can make an adapter for the laserlyte sight to fit, or if the cut is small enough I might be able to machine the dovetail on the laserlyte sight to fit.

Once I know which Laserlyte sights have the largest and smallest dimensions (as deduced from the dovetail cut measurements on the gun) I might find a version of Laserlyte sight that I can adapt to fit the P99.

So if any of you are so inclined (and have nothing better to do...) could you measure the dimensions of any of the following guns' rear sight dovetail if you own one?

I'd need b1, b2 and h in the included picture.

Ruger SR9
Glock
Springfield XD
Taurus Millennium
Taurus slim
Ruger MK II
S&W MP
Kel Tec PF-9

...or any other gun you know a Laserlyte rear sight fits.

Thanks in advance,

Flechette
