Hi I have an all original La Coruna K98 complete with alternate bayonet adapter.
It's in excellent condition all serials matching on all parts. Somehow it appears that some corrosive primed ammo was fed to my baby
Can someone help me get my baby back? Should this barrel measure 23 5/8", 23 1/4", and how much is there to pulling the old one and replacing it. I fully intend to acquire the proper barrel action wrench and headspace gauges. What would a smith charge for a rebarreling? 8mm is getting hard to find locally. Since I'm here if I choose another chambering what moderate pressure round could I switch to be? I prefer not to do any bolt alteration just drop in another headspaced tube.
