The WVa Legislature begins its session in a few months. On Thursday morning, I emailed the following letter to my state reps. Different emails, not one bulk mailing.

Dear Mr. Canterbury:

Currently WVa recognizes the Concealed Weapon Permits of KY and VA. About twelve states(AK, MT, ID, UT, AZ, OK, MI, IN, KY, TN, VA, VT) recognize WV permits to carry concealed. From:

West Virginia should place full faith and credit in the legislatures of other states and recognize any valid concealed carry license issued by another state or political subdivision thereof. We do this for motor vehicles with no special requirements to demonstrate the ability to cope with challenges of driving specific to WV.

I will be happy to help find any information that you may like to help make a decision about whether to support or introduce this in the Legislature.

Thank you.

Respectfully,

William F. Krafft, MA, LPC

Today I received this from one legislator in reply:

Thanks for your email. Would you have time to stop by my office in Xxxxxxx and discuss? thanks

Any one from WVa plearse feel free to let the pols know I am not alone. IMHO, state by state, not from the Feds will we get universal reciprocity.
