Recoil 270 verus 30/06

I have to say that the 270 is more suited to the 120 to 130 grain bullet than a 150. A friend of mine has bad back problems and I reload 130,s at a reduced load for him for mule deer and he has had no problems bagging his deer. It still boils down to hitting what you are aiming at. Thanks for all your suggestions. I bought a Weatherby Vanguard Sporter in 7mm-08. Now I have to find a scope base.

You've made a fine choice there my friend. I was going to recommend either 7-08 or .260 in a full weight rifle. FYI I am missing three disks in my neck and I still shoot the big stuff.
