Recoil pad?

Need some ideas on a good recoil pad for the wife....New to us Rem 700 in .270 Win....gonna have to take about 1 1/4 inch off a thumbhole stock...currently wears a Pachmayr....

I have installed Kick-eez and Limbsaver on rifles and prefer the Kick-eez.

I've had good luck with Limbsavers. Out of curiosity, why do you like the kick-eez pads better, EIB0879?

I put a Pach Mayr on my .45-70 lever gun. Shot it with really stout loads. Worked fine.

The Kick-eez is a little less stiff. Both are good pads though.

Standard Limbsaver slip on here. Have three of them on a:
Ruger M77 Compact .260 for recoil reduction and increased length of pull
Tikka T3 Lite .270
K31 7.5x55 Swiss

I like them, they serve their purpose and add a little length to short stocks. I'd say about 3/4 inch. The Tikka and K31 didn't need a longer pull but it makes them all-day shootable.
