Recently picked up a DPMS Panther, 20" bbl, carry handle...any thoughts on a decent scope..to be used primarily for target and varmint (prairie dogs). What features should I be looking for considering what the rifle will be used for.

Thanks in advance...

Take a serious look at Mueller scopes. I own three of them and highly recommend them for their available features and price. Believe me when I say they are clear as a bell and very accurate. Once you set em' you can forget em'.

I have the Mueller 4-16x50 AO Mil-dot Tactical mounted on my Bushmaster Varminter. You'll see one with illuminated or non illuminated recticle. Just depends what your after. With this scope just make sure you understand the parallax setting or you'll be all over the place with it. Once the parallax is adjusted correctly it's dead on!

I have the Mueller APV 4.5-14x40 on my Savage .17hmr, also very sweet!
