Recommend gunsmith that can shorten a synthetic stock

Anybody done the work before and willing to do it again or can recommend someone?

I think more info is needed: rifle, shotgun, make and model, caliber? For instance there is a tremendous difference between a Ruger 10/22 and a recent shotgun.
 
For Benelli M4.

Typically people have used a metal or wood plate and some epoxy (marine tex) for strengthening butt and attaching recoil pad. Then attached some recoil pad that is grinded down to fit.

I will try it if can't find an experienced gunsmith to do it. Just that I will take longer and gunsmiths might already have the tools that make the job simpler.
