I need recommendations for a OWB holster, magazine pouches, and belt for a defensive pistol class I'm taking soon. I have a full size Sig P320 and am a lefty. Also, the class is in 10 days, so I need to find something readily available. What do folks recommend? Thanks in advance!

Since you need it fast, Blade-Tech or Comp-Tac are probably your best bet

Blade-Tech Classic Holster https://blade-tech.com/products/classic-owb?variant=4994186215452

Double pouch or some singles https://blade-tech.com/collections/all-mag-pouches

Comp-Tac International https://comp-tac.com/international-holster-belt-paddle-drop-offset-holster-comp-tac/

Mag Pouches https://comp-tac.com/gear/magazine-pouches/

Both Blade-Tech and Comp-Tac used to offer a "Competition Pack" of some sort, but I don't see them right now, you may want to ask if you call. Garrett Holsters sells one, but I don't think they can get it to you that fast https://www.giholsters.com/product-p/pack1001.htm

For a belt, The Wilderness Tactical Frequent Flyer 5-stitch https://www.thewilderness.com/belts/frequent-flyer-belt/

Pay attention to the sizing instructions, they may seem odd, but they work. Don't order your jeans size. Expect your sizing to be about 4" larger than the waist measurement on your jeans.

I would not choose a BlackHawk SERPA holster to take to a class. Many training facilities have banned them, and even if they haven't, you'd have to figure out how to smoothly and consistently operate the retention device between now and the class, and I wouldn't recommend that.

Amazon also lists the Perun but I could not find a listing that expressly mentions left handed.

Each holster includes three pair of 1.5” belt loops (LH 10 degree cant, RH 10 degree cant, and ambi 0 degree cant), which allow the end-user to configure the ambidextrous holster body for left-handed or right-handed use, with either a 0-degree or 10-degree cant.

Awesome! Thanks, everyone -- looks like I have several good options here that I can get from Amazon. JTQ, thanks also for the belt recommendation. Also, nice to see the Daranich is made right here in NC!

I ended up ordering the Comp-Tac International holster and Blade-Tech total eclipse double mag pouch from Amazon, and the 1 1/2" 5-stitch FF belt from Wilderness Tactical. I have another belt I can use in the course if this one doesn't arrive in time. Thanks again!

Could you let us know how long all that stuff takes to get to you, as a reference point for future questions? Thanks.

Bianchi UM-84/M-12 rig, if concealment is not an issue.
Holster is swappable ambi. Matching mag carriers are available. You probably want an LC-2 military belt.

Do not use Amazon, unless you just want to pay more.
eBay has new M-12 holsters, black or green, for $20-25; mag carriers about the same; military belt $10-20.
Amazon has the M-12, but they are like $39.95--absurd.
The flap on the M-12 holster is reasonably fast, once you get used to it. For another $15-18 there is a Bianchi thumb snap which can replace (or be used with) the flap. The thumb snap does not go "on" easily, but comes off at a touch.

Sure, will do. I ordered the Comp-tac International holster and Blade-Tech Total Eclipse double mag pouch from Amazon with Prime shipping yesterday, and the holster arrived today (1 day). The magazine pouches will arrive Tuesday (4 days).

I also ordered single magazine pouches directly from Comp-Tac, and they are made to order and ship after 9 days. I'll post an update when the Comp-Tac pouches and Wilderness Tactical belt arrive.

The OP has chosen already, but the Bianchi UM-84 https://www.amazon.com/Bianchi-Universal-Military-Holster-Semi-Automatic/dp/B016MLAGEA /M-12 https://www.amazon.com/Bianchi-Comercial-Holster-Pistol-Green/dp/B000AL9CTY

seems like a less than good choice to bring to a pistol training class that will more than likely require multiple presentations from the holster. Those holsters would seem like a real drag in a pistol training class.

This from Tiger McKee's Shootrite Training Academy http://shootrite.org/equipment/equipment.html

Holsters must be held in position with belt, and allow you to holster without having to open up the holster with your support hand. No clip on or "floppy" holsters allowed. Leather or kydex is good.

The UM-84/M-12 seems like the complete opposite of what that one particular (admittedly, there is no evidence that is where the OP is headed, but I'd expect most schools would have similar recommendations) school recommends.

The spring steel clip on the UM series holsters is not going to be "floppy" unless you have it mounted to a skinny (like 3/4") belt or a hank of rope or paracord. It does not use the 1910 wire clip at all.

With the flap loose, you sweep the back joint of the thumb against he flap edge, and touch the edge of the muzzle gently to the holster, bring straight up, and it will drop right in without looking. The M-12/UM84 has a rigid mouth that does not collapse, either.

Getting the flap open is a no-look, too--just poke your thumb out and catch that nice fat ring and pull down, when it comes loose, your hand is already coming up to get the flap clear.

Quick update. I also bought the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse holster to compare with the Comp-tac. I like the ambidextrous design and extensible mounting options, and the quality seems equal to the Comp-Tac. The packaging is also excellent. For me, the Comp-Tac international is a better fit. IMO the advantages of the Comp-Tac are (1) better range of adjustment for retention force (three adjustable compression points vs. one); (2) easier draw and re-holstering compared with BT's ambidextrous design which covers more of the gun on the outer side; and (3) included paddle attachment allows me to put on and remove holster without taking off my belt.

I am using the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse double mag pouch, which has quick e-loop belt clips for easy mounting/removal w/o removing belt.

Really two different holsters for two different uses.

The Comp-Tac International ( https://comp-tac.com/international-holster-belt-paddle-drop-offset-holster-comp-tac/ ) is a Range/Training/Competition holster, while the Blade-Tech Total Eclipse ( https://blade-tech.com/products/total-eclipse-holster?variant=17516904972378 ) is a concealment holster.

For your stated original purpose, the International would be the better option. Conversely, the International isn't a very good concealment holster since there is nothing to pull the grip into the body. The Total Eclipse is basically a kydex pancake and should conceal as well as can be expected from such a holster.

I ended up using the Comp-tac holster, Blade-Tech magazine pouch, and Hanks Belts 1.5" Gunner stitched belt in the class. All worked really well!

Delivery times as follows:
  • Comp-tac international holster from Amazon was delivered next day.
  • Blade-Tech Total Eclipse magazine pouch from Amazon was delivered in 4 days.
  • Hanks Belts (XTreme and Gunner stitched) ordered directly from Hanks, delivered in 3 days.
  • Wilderness Tactical Frequent Flyer belt ordered directly, delivered in 15 days.
  • Comp-tac left hand magazine pouches, ordered directly from Comp-Tac should arrive Tuesday (18 days).
Thanks again for all the recommendations! BTW, Hanks really stood out for ease of ordering, fast shipping, quality of product, and easy return (I returned the Xtreme belt and kept the Gunner; return was with pre-paid label and package left in mailbox, with credit applied next day).
