I have a Leupold VX-I 2-7x on my Bushmaster. I like the variable power for different ranges although 3x seems to work the best out to about 150 yds. The price wasn't that bad either, around $250.
I agree with brian. IF you have any thoughts toward this gun actually protecting your life or your familys putting optics on isnt the time to skrimp. If i had only 200 dollars id bypass all the dot scopes and sights and opt for a decent fixed powered scope. If you must have a dot and it must be a cheap one youd best have backup sights and a fast way to get that junk off the top of your rifle. I bought an eotec knock off once just for grins and took it out and it lasted one day on the range. Dust got on the lenses and they were so soft that it scratched cleaning it off and all i could see through it was a lit up spider web. I once got a heck of a deal on 4 of those cheap bushnell red dots. Put them on various 22s i had. that was about 5 years ago and none of them are still working
would a C-more work good with an AK as well? Might pick up another along with a side-mount if I get one and have it work well. Problem is finding them in stock.
