The Glock 26 is my primary CCW gun, and I've carried in a Galco pocket holster for a number of years. That said, after giving the 642 in a Mika holster some pocket time, I'm finding harder and harder to go back to the G26 in the Galco. Still, I don't want to give up the G26 because to be honest, I think it's the better concealed carry gun. So, I'd appreciate hearing recommendations from G26 "carriers" on the most comfortable, concealable way to carry a G26? Thanks for any feedback.

Without a doubt (IMHO) the best way to conceal any sub-compact auto like your g26 would be with a nice, high quality IWB (In-the-waistband) holster along with a very sturdy gun belt. A holster with TWO belt loops, one on each side of the gun to support its weight will give you the most comfortable IWB experience. If you don't want to wait 5-6 months for a nice custom leather holster, you should take a look at the Crossbreed Supertuck or the Comp-tac MTAC. These are both leather/kydex hybrids that work very well and have a thin profile. Wait time for these is anywhere between 2-3 weeks.

If you want a nice leather holster take a look at the Milt Sparks Versa-Max 2, or my personal favorite, the TT Gunleather reinforced-mouth IWB holster. These are basically the same design. Wait time is at least 5-6 months for these holsters. I just received my TT Gunleather "Mikes Special" IWB holster for my H&K P2000sk. The fit and finish is outstanding. I got mine with the shark skin trim and it looks snazzy! It took almost 5 months for mine to arrive and I ordered it back in January.

There are other IWB holsters out there, but these are by far the most comfortable ones out there due to the two-loop design. Don't forget that a STURDY gun belt is almost always necessary to get the most out of any good IWB holster. Good luck!

Comp Tac Infidel is the new generation IWB. I use their simple belt clip but added some skateboard tape to the biting edge of the clip so that it won't slip off my belt when drawing. BTW, they're wait is only about 10 days.

loaded ;)

Big plus on gun belt and good holster, belt more important than holster IMO. I like UBG holsters myself, good service, custom work at retail prices and you're helping a working man.

I have two of his belts and two of his holsters simply because I really like his service. He patiently and politely worked with me on a custom holster as I provided several measurements and pictures to make sure everything was kosher with his molding equipment.

Ask for Nate.

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I'll be checking into a good inside the waistband holster, as well as a good belt.

I just picked up a Crossbreed Supertuck for a 4" 1911, and it makes carrying it a dream. I can only imagine how much easier your Glock would be. +1 to good gun belt in addition.

Thanks again, I'll check out all of the recommendations. I'll definitely be making a switch. Right now I'm leaning toward IWB.

I wouldn't chime in except no one's mentioned the Fist ultra thin kydex. Carried my Glock 27 with it today. I have more than a dozen of these and they're my favorite. Now because of its thin makeup, I don't know it'll last you more than, say, 10 years. OTOH I've found nothing more comfortable.

The supertuck and others may be good for you but mine sit on the shelf in favor of the Fist.

Doug,
I carry a Glock 26 and I use both a Comp-Tac IWB and a Blackhawk Serpa, depending on how I want to dress. The Blackhawk is more comfortable, has a quick draw and is level 2, but I need to wear a loose fitting, button-up, untucked shirt with it. The Comp-Tac IWB is an older one called the shirt tucker and is great with an untucked t-shirt and shorts. I don't feel comfortable using it with a shirt tucked in - too much printing.

I am actually between the C tac, the 2 o clock, or the fist tuckable. I am seriously thinking appendix for my 26. I like the J hook option and an offset j hook would be even better to offset the thickness of the gun. I have to have the tuckable option not sure if 3-4 o clock iwb or appendix. I have a high noon that I am well pleased with and 85% of the time I am comfortable with it tucked or not. I find a light blousing when tucked reduces printing. The only things I would change would be clip option and an offset option. But the best bang for the buck so far. Sorry for rambleing maybe figure I need to read it cant decide.
