Sorry for the confusion, this is the first thread I ever started. My friends think I should stick to painting pictures on cave walls, maybe they are right.

Does anyone know of a pistol mounted flashlight that can be used with a red filter? I will be installing this on a .22 pistol with a picatinny rail. I was looking at the Surefire X200/X300 series lights but I can't tell if there is a red filter that works with them. Any reputable manufacturer will do. I would rather have the option to replace batteries than recharge the light. Thank you.

*** can't figure out what I'm doing wrong:banghead:

Alright, I figured it out. Now can someone tell me how to undo my mess?

You might be buying red film plastic and making your own. But using filters on a light kind of blends everything together... It's definately harder to see than regular white light.

I tried out those stupid blue xenon bulbs for the car, and went right back to regular as soon as those burned out. It's actually harder to see with them.
