Hello, I have a 4x Redfield scope that I would like to have repaired. Recently the crosshairs have started to rotate inside the tube making the scope unusable. I would like to have it fixed so I could continue using it, as it belonged to my grandfather. Would Redfield be able to fix it? If not redfield who could I send it to, to have it fixed.

Thanks, Mike

redfield closed its doors a long time ago. after several switches and re-openings, i believe the redfield name now belongs to weaver (blount, i think). anyway, get ahold of weaver and see what they say. when i had a redfield yak, weaver offered a significant discount on some of their other scopes. i don't think repair was an option.

abo does repairs on obsolete scopes, and i believe redfield is one of the brands they repair. i cannot reccomend you go that route because their customer service sucks, and after you initially send the required money in to pay for the repair, they will shortly send out another request for money along w/ an offer to buy one of their scopes at a 'discounted' price - which is actually quite a bit higher than retail anywhere else. you will also get the opportunity to wait for about 8-10 months for your scope to come back, despite whatever claim they make on their website.

in short, you are in a bad spot.

It seems there was a place in Florida that repaired Redfield scopes. I'm trying to locate the name and address

Mike,

It's been about a year since we had a scope repaired, so I called to verify. Got voicemail and the mailbox was full.
But, keep trying.
Mike repaired several USA made Redfields for us and did a good job at a fair price.
Hope this helps.
Max
